Currently I'm mainly focusing on Ceramics and Photography, although my Creative Practice is quite broad including Painting, Printmaking and Illustration as well.

 

I particularly enjoy the tactile and therapeutic qualities of working with clay. I prefer working with Crank clay, which suits hand building processes such as coiling.

 

You never have complete control over the end result, which can lead to surprising discoveries once it’s been fired and it’s this element of the unknown and unexpected that I’m drawn to and which keeps me fascinated.

 

My ceramic pieces are mostly organic, whether it’s a marine life related theme or the textures found on a tree bark or seedpods. Nature provides endless possibilities and inspiration for my work.
